another episode of the desperate green propaganda series: the day after the Scottish Lib Dems have launched the stunningly ridiculous proposal of 100% of Scottish energy to come from renewables by 2050, the Scottish Conservatives unveil their new, green, logo (not a yucca, though, just a tree – similar to the English version, but bigger and darker, just like Scotland, then). Party logos have always had a special relationship to flowers and trees – I guess it is about blooming as a metaphor of winning an election. But this time, with ‘green’ Cameron down south, the tree logo means more than that: it means that the Conservatives too, now, are committed, but for real, to environmental issues. So now pretty much everybody apart from the BNP appears to care for the environment, which will make sure that nothing gets done for it.
